Little black dresses. Sequins tops. Plaid.
Holiday outfits tend to be predictable.
As I planned my holiday party ‘lewk’ this year I had a bit of a personal style epiphany. I’m not into dressing ‘pretty.’ And while I admire women in pretty party dresses. That’s just not for me. The look I’ve always pursued (with missteps along the way) has been the more elusive, less definable quality known as ‘cool.’ It’s hard to explain what cool is but you always know it when you see it. Case in point this insanely cool white Gucci tee. I paired it with a gold skirt to add a touch of holiday glam. Adding an ankle length skirt is a great trick for getting away with wearing a t-shirt to a party.
This vintage coat has major sentimental value for me because it belonged to my Grandmother. The skirt is JCrew and the clutch is Charlotte Olympia.
Happy Holidays! Enjoy every party.
